God in His abundant mercies, has made the gospel of the water and the Spirit know to many Christians through the internet, distribution and preaching. But the reason why most of them have not yet received the remission of sins is because they think that they have met God already. The Devil has filled many people with a debased mind and arrogant hearts through the persuasive words of human wisdom preventing them to receive the EVERLASTING REMISSION OF SINS based on the demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

The gospel of John chapter 9 reveals how Jesus bestows His LOVE, GRACE and MERCY on those who come to Him with a humble heart. In this chapter, there is an incidence of how Jesus healed a man who was born blind from birth on the Sabbath. The Bible says that this man was born blind not because he sinned, but that the works of  God might be revealed in Him. The Pharisees were however in opposition to this miraculous act of Jesus. So they called the parents of the blind man to find out. The pharisees then went on what I described as "an inquisition of examination" to find out from the blind man himself whether he was truly healed by Jesus. And the conversation that went on between the blind man and the Pharisees is quite interesting.

The blind man confirmed to the Pharisees that Jesus was the one who actually healed him and that He is the Messiah. But this self-righteous Pharisees told him, "You were completely born in sins, and are you teaching us?" 'And they cast him out' (John 9:34). Here we can see how faith in legalism always condemns others. Those with such kind of faith are the ones who preach saying, "Stop stealing, bribery, lying, adultery, envy, covetousness, murder, Idolatry, drunkenness, strife, and such like, because the Judgment of God is imminent." This kind of preaching can never in anyway save a sinner because nobody can tell an apple tree to stop bearing apples. But when such people hear God's everlasting love revealed in the water and the Spirit, their lives will change just like the woman who was caught in the very act of adultery. They will then be filled with the fruits of righteousness which are Jesus Christ to the praise and glory of God (Philippians 1:11).

In this chapter of John 9, Jesus did not only restore the physical eye-sight  of the man, but He also gave him spiritual eyesight. In essence, the blind man was emancipated from spiritual blindness as well, and he believed in Jesus as the Savior Who came by the water and the Spirit. However, the Pharisees who were trying to obey the laws of fleshly commandments were in deep spiritual blindness and total darkness filled with anarchy and chaos. After the incidence, Jesus said, "For Judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind" (John 9:39). Here what Jesus mean is that, those who do not humble themselves thinking that they know God already will remain spiritually blind, and they cannot see the Kingdom of God. The phrase "Those who see may be may blind," refers to the Christian pharisees who think they know God already. It means that people who rely on their own doctrines cannot receive remission of sins. It is just a fraudulent claim for such people to think so.

After Jesus spoke those words, the Pharisees then asked Him, "Are we blind also?" Jesus then replied, "If you were blind, you would have no sin, but now you say, 'We see.' Therefore your sins  remains" (John 9:40-41). We need to pay attention to these particular words of Jesus. Here Jesus is saying that arrogant Pharisees and Christians who rely on their own doctrines and say "We see" (we know God already) cannot receive the remission of sins. Jesus tells us clearly that their sins will remain. But those who admit and say, "Even though I have become a Christian for 5, 10, 20 or 30 years, my faith is nothing but falsehood," will receive their spiritual vision - eye sight (remission of sins). There are many believers who say, we don't need the gospel of the water and the Spirit because "We see" (we know God already). But Jesus said that such people will remain blind and their sins will remain.

Glory be to God for saving us from spiritual blindness and giving us the true vision (the remission of sins and spiritual - eye-sight)
