"For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall."(Psalms 18,29)

I thank God Jesus Christ that He let me write this review on the book of Paul C. Jong titled: "Our Lord who becomes the righteousness of God 2". I also thank Paul for writing this superb book.

I have read this book before, but I forgot about many important things in it and I realised that I didn’t really follow the instructions that Paul gave us. Even though I knew that in a flesh nothing good dwells and that we should praise and follow God with our hearts, I think I somehow tried to follow God with my flesh. This book reminded me that we can only follow God with our hearts and not with our flesh and that our faith in God lives in our hearts. We can’t become sanctified with our flesh, flesh can’t reach the righteousness of God nor keep the Law of God. Flesh only sins and does evil, the Bible says in Romans 7,18: "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not."

After we are saved we must realise that avoiding sin is impossible without serving the Lord. With time we come to find out how evil and bad we are, that’s why we can’t serve Lord with the flesh and we must follow God with our hearts, Paul talks about this in Romans 7, 6:  "But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter." Because we can’ live to the Law of God, God sent His Son so that we can die with Him through our faith in Him and live praising the Lord in the newness of the spirit. With the heart we can receive the Word of God, with the heart we can praise, follow, and believe in God, also with the heart we can thank Him that He saved us through His water, blood and Spirit. (1John 5, 6-8)

It's with the heart that we can serve God and preach the gospel, our flesh will follow the heart if we serve the gospel and unite with the church. We will continue sinning with our flesh but we should not look at our flesh and our weaknesses but follow God with our hearts.

Paul also taught me that even though we are saved we must unite ourselves with the righteousness of God everyday. We can't follow God only because we want to and because we have determination to do it, to follow God we must unite ourselves with Jesus baptism, blood and resurrection.  We must believe that Jesus took away all our sins through His baptism, we must believe that when Jesus died on the Cross we also died with Him and when He was resurrected we were also resurrected to live new lives in the Spirit for Him. Paul talks about this subject in his book page: 45: "Uniti ng with Jesus by faith is necessary even after obtaining God's righteousness through our redemption. After receiving the gift of redemption, our faith can deteriorate into a mere convention.

But, if we unite our hearts with the righteousness of the Lord, our hearts will live with God. If we unite with the righteousness of God, we will live with Him, but if we do not, then we cannot help but become irrelevant to Him. If we do not unite with the Lord God and just remain spectators to Him, as if we were admiring our neighbour’s garden, we would become irrelevant to God by being separated from Him. Therefore, we must unite with the Word of the Lord and the righteousness of God in faith. "

The Bible says in Romans 8,4-6: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. I have learned from this book that those who are born again must walk in the Spirit, which means that we must follow God, believe in His Word and preach the gospel of water and the Spirit. We must please God by thinking and doing His work of saving souls. We must set our minds on the work of God and we must do it. We must preach the gospel even if we are full of shortcomings and weaknesses, because Jesus already took away all those sins and changed our destiny so that we could serve Him till we die.

I thank God for allowing me read this book and keep the knowledge of it in my heart. I feel strengthen after writing this review, because now I can fully follow God with my heart.

God always blesses his servants!
