[Chapter 7-2] We Must Know and Believe That Jesus Is The Son of God and God Himself (John 7:28-53)

“Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, ‘You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.’ Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. And many of the people believed in Him, and said, ‘When the Christ comes, will He do more signs than these which this Man has done?’ The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take Him. Then Jesus said to them, ‘I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me. You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come.’ Then the Jews said among themselves, ‘Where does He intend to go that we shall not find Him? Does He intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? What is this thing that He said, ‘You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come’?’ On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, ‘Truly this is the Prophet.’ Others said, ‘This is the Christ.’ But some said, ‘Will the Christ come out of Galilee? Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?’ So there was a division among the people because of Him. Now some of them wanted to take Him, but no one laid hands on Him. Then the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, ‘Why have you not brought Him?’ The officers answered, ‘No man ever spoke like this Man!’ Then the Pharisees answered them, ‘Are you also deceived? Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him? But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.’ Nicodemus (he who came to Jesus by night, being one of them) said to them, ‘Does our law judge a man before it hears him and knows what he is doing?’ They answered and said to him, ‘Are you also from Galilee? Search and look, for no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.’ And everyone went to his own house.”
Good afternoon. It’s good to see you. It’s really good to eat a lot of good food and meet with the servants of God and workers of the Church throughout the whole country.
This is today’s Scripture passage. The Jewish holiday of the Feast of the Tabernacles was near, and since the Jews wanted to kill Him, Jesus intended to not go to the region of Judah. Jesus’ physical brothers asked Jesus how He could do His work if He didn’t show Himself and asked Him to do so. Even His physical brothers did not believe. So, Jesus said, “My time has not yet come. You go up to this feast first. The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.” And He went up to the Feast of the Tabernacles later. The people who saw Jesus talked in whispers, saying He deceived them.
Jesus Taught Us His Mission for His Sheep
The Feast of the Tabernacles around October is like Thanksgiving in our day. At that time for a week, they remembered that God had delivered them from Egypt and had given them abundant grain. And they hoped for more blessings while dwelling in booths.
When the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand, Jesus went up to the Temple in Jerusalem. The Jews were astonished when He taught people. They whispered about how it was that Jesus who had never learned Hebrew letters could know them and how it was strange that He taught the people reading the Law.
In the Temple, Jesus also said, “You do not keep the Law. How is it that you intend to kill Me? You regard Me as strange for having healed someone on the Sabbath.” And when He taught people the Word of God, they thought it was strange. He then said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority” and “Are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath? Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” (John 7:23-24). Then some of them from Jerusalem said, “Is this not He whom they seek to kill? But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ? However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from” (John 7:25-27).
Receiving the remission of sins by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit is not the only thing that is important. We have to think about how much we really know about Jesus and how much we believe in Him. People wanted to kill Him and Jesus knew this fact well. So, our Lord spoke of His atoning death in John chapter 7 and 8.
It was natural that the people wanted to kill Jesus. That is because Jesus always said that He was the Son of God, which people would receive salvation if they ate His flesh and drank His blood, and that they would receive salvation if they believed in Him. As for Jesus, it was very natural to say so, but from the perspective of the Jews, His Words were absolutely absurd. From the perspective of those who believed in the Lord God, they could not accept Jesus’ teachings that He was the Son of God and that one would obtain eternal life by believing in Him. They were so infuriated by Jesus’ Words that they absolutely could not listen to what Jesus said. They absolutely could not tolerate or listen to Jesus when He said without hesitation that He was the Son of God and that people would obtain salvation by eating His flesh and drinking His blood.
He not only spoke like that, but also healed the sick and the handicapped. If there was someone sick among those listening, He regarded them compassionately, laid hands on them, and healed their illness. When there was nothing to eat for those who followed Him when it was mealtime, He blessed one basket to perform the miracle of five loaves and two fish. Then, over 15,000 people ate, and there was food left over. So, He was always popular. When these sorts of things happened, there were many people who believed in Jesus as their Redeemer, as well as on the other hand, people who got angry with Him. Two extremes developed between the people who heard the Words of Jesus.
The people who were the most infuriated against Jesus were the chief priests, Pharisees, scribes, government officials, that is to say, religious leaders of Judaism who strongly believed in the established religion. That is because they thought that their followers were being taken from them since everyone went out to Jesus wherever He appeared. The religious leaders, the descendants of Levi, and most Jews classified Jesus as a very dangerous individual. Since most people besides those who made their living by attaching themselves to the dominant religion followed after Jesus, they were really worried about that.
Especially the chief priests and scribes (government officials) regarded Jesus as a big political troublemaker. They worried that if many people followed after Jesus, He would incite the people to revolt against the Romans and stage demonstrations. They thought it was a big problem if Jesus was a person who could become a leader and a person who could oppose the Romans. Jesus was meek and good, so it didn’t seem He was a person who would cause a riot, but since there were a lot of people following Him, it became a great problem. So, there were groups that wanted to catch and kill Him wherever He went.
Before Jesus was nailed to the Cross, the person who made the final verdict to hand Him over to Governor Pilate was the High Priest. He said, “It is right for one Man to die so that this people can live.” He then made his verdict to kill Jesus saying, “Unless we deal with Jesus, these people will be destroyed.”
Whether in the past or the present, the representatives of religion are people who are loyal to the nation. It isn’t that they live for the god in whom they believe; they are people who work for the nation through the religion created by man. When the chief priests made the decision to kill Jesus, everything advanced rapidly. Jesus was caught, judged, sentenced to death even though He was innocent, and nailed to the Cross within a couple of days.
Jesus was at the peak of His popularity. This was not of His intention, but people were almost mad to exalt Him. Jesus, who had never even attended school, went up to the Temple and spiritually taught people. Since He had a lot of popularity among the people, Jesus could not help but be hated by religious leaders. If Jesus had popularity in the Temple, the chief priests had no place to stand.
The Word of the Lord Is the Word of God
The Lord said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him” (John 7:16-18). It is also written, “Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, ‘You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is True, whom you do not know. But I know Him. For I am from Him, and He sent Me.’ Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. And many of the people believed in Him, and said, ‘When the Christ comes, will He do more signs than these which this Man has done?’ The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take Him. It was the last day of the Feast of the Tabernacles. On this day, Jesus went to the Temple once more. It is written, “On the last day, that great day of the Feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified” (John 7:37-39).
“If Anyone Thirsts, Let Him Come to Me and Drink”
The Lord told anyone who believes in Him and thirsts to come to Him and drink. Just as the Scripture says, people who believe in Jesus then have rivers of living waters flow from their hearts. Jesus cried out this way on the last day of the Feast. He also cried out, “I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is True, whom you do not know. But I know Him. For I am from Him, and He sent Me.” Jesus spoke loudly in order to tell people that He was the Son of God the Father and that He came to this earth because God the Father sent Him.
But the Jews only thought of Jesus in a physical sense in that He was from Nazareth. Since He lived in Galilee for some time before doing His mission, the Jews asked, “Can anything good come from Nazareth of Galilee,” and ignored Jesus. Therefore, Jesus said, “You do not know Me.” Jesus kept talking about Himself so much that He could be seen as defending Himself. “There is One who sent Me. I came because He sent Me. If you think what I say is true, listen to Me. Then, you will know whether I seek My own glory or seek His glory.”
When Jesus said, “You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come,” the Jews misunderstood and asked, “Does He intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? Does He mean that we won’t be able to meet Him because He will be living there and cut off from the Jews?” But since the Jews who heard this continued to be ignorant of Him, Jesus said the same thing in John 8 after the Feast of the Tabernacles. In John 8, the Lord spoke bluntly. “Where I go you cannot come. Rather, you will die in your sins.” The frustrating thing was that the Jews could never understand His words at all.
The point of today’s Scripture passage is the question of how we have to believe in the Lord. In other words, the point is the question of how we must believe in the Lord to have living water flow in our hearts.
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” Since there is living water in the Lord, anyone who is thirsty should go to the Lord and drink. If one wants to go to the Lord and drink living water, if he intends to have the rivers of living water that solve his soul’s hunger and thirst flow from his heart, he must believe in the Lord. The Lord says that only those who believe in Him resolve hunger and thirst.
We have tendencies to believe superficially that Jesus is only our Redeemer. The thing He emphasized the most was that He is the Son of God and God Himself. He continued saying this. He says, “God the Father sent Me. If you know where the doctrine that I speak of came from, you will believe in Me.” Jesus is saying that since He is God, we should know Him as God. He says that rivers of living water will flow in the hearts of people who believe in Jesus.
“Jesus” means Redeemer and “Christ” means the King, the High Priest, and the Prophet. He came with these three duties and saved His people from their sins. However, the Jews didn’t believe in Jesus. There are instances today, too, where you don’t believe in Him. We must believe that Jesus Christ is God. He was really God, and He was the Son of God. He is really the Creator who created all things. The Bible says, “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made” (John 1:3). It also says, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).
Jesus Christ is the King of Kings, the Almighty God, our Redeemer, and the Prophet. We must know Jesus who saved us as God and believe in Him as such. God came to this earth, received baptism, hung on the Cross, and was resurrected from the dead in order to save us. If we believe in Jesus as God and that He saved you and me through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, rivers of living water will overflow in our hearts.
We have received salvation by believing in Jesus Christ who came through the water and the Spirit as our Redeemer. People who have received salvation live as God’s servants and clearly go to the Kingdom of God. People who know and believe that God saved us through the gospel of the water and the Spirit and people who believe vaguely that Jesus saved them from sin have different feelings in their hearts.
You cannot stand firm with vague faith in Jesus Christ. You are insufficient, weak, and are living in many problems. When you cannot have spiritual rest amid a lot of problems, you come to stare at your weakness and lose your strength. Your hearts are renewed and good if you think of the Lord and read His Word, but it becomes hard when you are entrenched in work. Your mood is good if things are going well, but you are tense if things don’t go well. But you and I are people who are high and noble as God’s people. We are people who have received salvation from Him. When you and I were entrenched in sin, came to be cursed and destroyed, and were to go to hell, God regarded us pitifully, came to this earth in the flesh of man, and saved us. God Himself received baptism, hung on the Cross, and was resurrected from the dead in order to save us.
Believing in Jesus vaguely and believing that He saved us from sin through the gospel of the water and the Spirit are different. Knowing and believing in Jesus’ origin is different from such blind faith. Of course, a person receives salvation even if he can’t know that exactly, but the depth is different. God loved us so much that He saved us and said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” If a person believes that Jesus is God and believes in the Lord who came through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, rivers of living water flow from his heart, and he receives the remission of sins. If we do not believe that Jesus is God who created the universe and all things in it and that He is God who created you and me, your and my faith will all fall like a house that is built on the sand.
The Lord says that He is one with God the Father. That means that Jesus is God. But most Christians just believe in Him as the nominal Redeemer from force of religious habit. However, God has saved only those who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. God loved you so much that He came to this earth, took all your sins on His body, hung on the Cross until death, and was resurrected from the dead. God who created everything did that for you and me. If we believe that God saved you and me, even though we receive the same salvation, the depth of salvation is different. The Creator who made the universe has saved you and me.
God saved you and me from sin and became our Shepherd. Jehovah’s Witnesses insist that Jesus is a creation. And many people believe that Jesus is the Son of God, but they don’t believe that He is God Himself. If a person knows and believes that Jesus is God, the meaning of all the things He has done, especially what he has done through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, changes. Since Jesus is God, our salvation can be perfect. Jesus came to this earth, took all of our sins through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, received the transference of sin and judgment, was resurrected from the dead, and thus saved us. Jesus gave us eternal life and made us God’s children and His people. Jesus is our Shepherd. If you believe that Jesus is God, everything changes and becomes new to you. Believing simply in a religious manner completely disappears. Then, rivers of living water truly flow from your hearts.
All the things our Lord did when He came to this earth were because He loves you and me so much. God is a refuge where our souls can find peace and rest. He saved us through the gospel of the water and the Spirit out of His love for us. When we know and believe that, you and I can enjoy the most peaceful and tranquil state of our hearts.
In John 8:1-12, it says, “But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, ‘Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?’ This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, ‘He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.’ And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, ‘Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?’ She said, ‘No one, Lord.’ And Jesus said to her, ‘Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.’ Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.’”
“Neither Can I Judge You Because You Believe in Me!”
Our Lord went up to the Temple during the Feast of the Tabernacles and taught people at every opportunity. In order to make a pretext, Pharisees and the scribes harshly brought the woman caught in adultery to Jesus while He taught in the Temple. They said, “Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” Then, Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first” and wrote on the ground. This meant that he who recognized he had no sin could throw a stone first. The scribes intended to test Jesus, but instead were tested themselves. They intended to entrap Him to destruction, but they were entrapped by their own plot instead.
The scribes and Pharisees were the leaders of the nation of Judah at that time. They thought that Jesus, who had always been a thorn in their sides, had properly been trapped, but they were instead trapped by the words of Jesus when He said, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” Since He chose the order by saying, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first,” no one could dare to come forward and throw a stone at her.
“Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, ‘Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?’ She said, ‘No one, Lord.’ And Jesus said to her, ‘Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.’ Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.’”
These words also tell us that Jesus is God. Jesus said to that woman, “No man condemns you. Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Jesus didn’t say that woman had sin, but told her to go and commit no more. When Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you,” it meant He had eliminated this woman’s sins.
Afterwards, the Lord said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12). The Lord is the light of the world, and anyone who follows Him shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life. The Lord is the light of the world. Since Jesus is God, He came to save His people from their sins. Since He put on the flesh of man for a short time to obey the will of God the Father and came to save all mankind from their sins, He said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12).
We must believe in Jesus as the Redeemer and as God. A person, who believes that Jesus Christ the Redeemer has saved us through the gospel of the water and the Spirit receives eternal life and has the light of life. Even though we are insufficient and weak, a person who believes in God who said, “Son, your sins are forgiven you,” has the light of life. That is because He is perfect and eternal. By our faith in Jesus Christ, He saves us through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, becomes our Shepherd, and gives us eternal life. Since we believe in Him, you and I completely receive eternal salvation and have the light of life.
I preach countless times that Jesus is God, but people believe in Him as only the Son of God. But our Lord said, “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” He also said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” Since He is God, He gives you and me the blessings of the remission of sins and eternal life, becomes our Shepherd, and said those words. Even though you and I are insufficient, the Lord has given us the light of life so that we can continue to do the work of God.
The Apostle Paul said, “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). Since the eternal God became the light of the world and shone on us, our faith will never change, and rivers of living water flow from the hearts of people who believe in Jesus as God. Thirst in their hearts disappears, and they do not feel hunger or thirst. All these things were done because He loved you and me.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Since Jesus Christ who was sent by God the Father who loved us is God, those who believe in Him as God and the Redeemer who saved us through the gospel of the water and the Spirit are to receive the blessing of the remission of sins. You and I have received this blessing. Since God loved you and me, our hearts become tranquil and are happy. Since we can keep our composure, we can afford to pay attention to others.
All people in the world have not been able to receive the remission of sins. Those people cannot worry about what happens to other people. That blessing comes to the hearts of you and me who know and believe correctly that Jesus Christ who saved us is God. We have received the blessings of Jesus Christ and give thanks to God who gave us those blessings.
If Jesus was not God, He could not have said, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” Jesus told the woman who had been caught in the act of adultery that she had no sins. He could say so because He took all her sins and all mankind’s sins when He received baptism in the Jordan River. So, He told this woman she had no sin and to not commit sins any more.
The Lord said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” This means He is truly the light of Heaven and the Savior who came to save mankind. God came to this earth, saved you and me through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, became our Shepherd, and gave us eternal life. Since He is our God, the Mighty God, and lives forever, all the blessings He gave us are perfect. So, the blessings you and I have received are great.
The work God’s Church has to do is to tell people how the Mighty God eliminated our sins. But churches today haven’t been able to do that, but they just say, “Since we are the children of God, we should live such a virtuous way.” Jesus said to the woman, “Sin no more,” but you and I commit sins again. We can determine to not commit sin again, but it is really difficult to not commit them. That’s why we just become sinless people only by knowing and believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Since Jesus is God, He eliminated our sins through the gospel of the water and the Spirit. There are many people who believe Jesus is their Redeemer, but they cannot live for God’s righteousness. That is because they have no idea about the grace God wants to give them in His righteousness. Of course, they are grateful for the remission of sins they have received, but they think the love they have received is too small. They live that way because they think that receiving the remission of sins is only one part of their lives and not a blessing worth becoming their whole lives.
When Jesus spoke of the living water, He spoke of it concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive. Whoever believes in Jesus in Truth receives the Spirit. People who believe that Jesus is God receive the Spirit. It is worthless if a person doesn’t believe that Jesus is God, even if he believes that He is the Savior. A survey in Germany asked people if they believed Jesus is God, and 99% of them responded that they did not believe so. When they were asked if they believed that Jesus was born through the Virgin Mary, they also said they didn’t believe so. The laymen aside, even the clergies didn’t believe so. Without the Spirit, a person cannot say that Jesus is the Lord.
Only when you believe that Jesus is God, can you believe that Jesus has saved us by coming to this earth in the flesh of man, taking all our sins through His baptism, and then hung on the Cross. If you don’t believe that Jesus is God, you will seek after Him only when you need His help and comfort or when you face hardships. So, the Cross has become merely a symbol of physical love to such a person. To most Christians, the Cross is the symbol of suffering, comfort, and love. That is what religion is. But, I received the remission of sins and the gift of the Spirit by believing that Jesus is God who took all our sins through the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
It is now the season of Lent, and Easter is approaching. Since Jesus was resurrected, our faith must also be resurrected. But if a survey was taken to see if they believe that we die and come back to life like Jesus, they will say that they don’t believe it. When I was in seminary, I didn’t believe in the resurrection for a while because my faith wasn’t deep. I realized how serious it was to have such weak faith. A person can receive the Spirit only by faith.
The Lord said, “Believe in Me, and out of your hearts will flow rivers of living water.” If we receive the remission of our sins, we enjoy refreshment in our hearts. A heart that was in the midst of hunger and thirst because of sin becomes refreshed when it receives the remission of sins. That is a spiritual river. If a person receives the remission of sins, his heart is refreshed, and then he comes to receive the Holy Spirit as a gift. The Holy Spirit comes to his heart if he receives the remission of his sins by accurately knowing the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and believing that Jesus is God. His heart becomes refreshed.
The Lord asked us today whether we believe that Jesus is God or not. The Jews didn’t believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and they didn’t believe that He is the Creator who created the universe. Just as it is written: “God has given them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes that they should not see
And ears that they should not hear,
To this very day” (Romans 11:8). In this generation, the people who believe in Jesus do not have the faith needed in the last days.
Faith needed in the last days is that of knowing that Jesus is the true God, knowing that He eliminated all our sins through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and believing that we became the children of God by receiving the remission of our sins and receiving the Spirit as a gift. It is not of speaking in tongues, making lots of donations, and living good lives.
All people are insufficient, but God is true. The Bible tells us to believe in Jesus as God and worship Him in spirit and truth. God eliminated our sins through the gospel of the water and the Spirit and made us His children. He is our Shepherd, and He gave us eternal life. He is with us forever, loves us, and takes care of us forever. We must know and believe that. Then, it won’t matter when the Lord comes.
You and I who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit believe that Jesus is God. We must purely believe this. When we believe the Word of God, we become the purest. God loves you and me, blesses us, and is with us forever. We must recognize that Jesus is God. At the last day, we can never be capable of doing the work with which we have been entrusted if we don’t have this faith.
