Subject 23 : The Epistle to the HEBREWS

[Chapter 11-2] Let’s Serve the Gospel of The Water and the Spirit Until the Lord Returns (Hebrews 11:1-8)

Let’s Serve the Gospel of The Water and the Spirit Until the Lord Returns
(Hebrews 11:1-8)
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, ‘and was not found, because God had taken him’; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.”

People lament saying, we are living in a time without a future which has become hopeless, despite the advance in technology and cultural development. Maybe this is why people today are indulging in eating, drinking, and living day to day, without any purpose. Dreams for our future make us gird ourselves through difficult times, but without any dreams for the future, people tend to give themselves up to utter despair. It dawned on me that there is nothing scarier than the absence of dreams or hopes. Sadly, many people are living in such despair. Hope cannot be found anywhere despite the fact that science and technology have made our lives so convenient. This is truly a dark age.

What Is Faith?

Today’s Scripture passage tells us that faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen. That is to say, everything exists, not because our eyes can see it, but because we believe God created them. In other words, the Bible teaches us the truth that everything exists because God created it with His Word, not because we can see it and exclaim, “Oh, this is what it looks like. Then there is such a thing.”
There is a huge difference between the people of the faith and people without faith in God. Those who do not have faith in God perceive things and predict the future based on what they see with their physical eyes, but people of faith can understand these principles by believing in God. By faith Abel offered a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, and Enoch was taken by God without seeing death. Today’s passage tells us that Enoch pleased God. In other words, it wasn’t his deeds or works but his faith that pleased God. By him having faith, he lived a pleasing life towards God.
I would like to tell one thing to all of you, that includes the Church of God, and God’s servants, and that is, please do not see your present and future only based on what you can see with your eyes, but look at it through the lens of God’s word. Live your lives of faith in God’s word. This includes me also, for I also need to look at the world through God’s Word. God’s Words allows us to see what is about to come. Through God’s Words we can see the seven year tribulation and the terrifying natural disasters. And through God’s Words we can see the Antichrist showing up, and the saints being martyred, and raised from the dead. And through God’s Words we can see the return of our LORD, the millennial kingdom, and the eternal kingdom of God. We know all of these things by faith. I want you to bear in mind that we should live by faith in this age, and by faith, we should look forward to the days ahead.

Without Faith, We Cannot Please God

We cannot live in God without having faith in His Word. When we set our eyes on the things we see in the world, we are bound to fall. I believe that tribulations will soon become a reality in this world. I believe so because the Lord said so. Even now the signs of tribulations have started. So I urge you to believe what God said and realize exactly what kind of generation you are living in. There will be the seven year tribulation as God said. Trust me.
We must therefore work hard to preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit before the tribulation begins. We will preach the gospel until we can’t do it any more; and until then we will keep our faith in God’s righteousness and come before His presence. I think and also believe so. It is not the time of the tribulation, but I know it is imminent. By faith Noah prepared an ark, and by faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than his brother, Cain.
We also follow their example and prepare for the end of the world by faith. I hope you and I will endure this time well by having this firm faith in our hearts. I am not talking about some heroic death for God during the tribulation, but that I will preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit all over the world until that day. In the mean time we will continue preaching the gospel of the water and the Spirit until the Lord returns.
I am living now by having such a faith. I am not sure what you think but I believe that the greater chaos there is, the better the opportunity to preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit. If we don’t preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit now, there will be no other chances. When looking at the present circumstances of the world, we see Israel becoming more and more isolated. Even the U.S, Israel’s ally of all allies, has started down this slippery slope of disliking and avoiding her.
The reason I keep bringing up the world circumstances is to show you that the day of Lord’s return is not too far away. Therefore, the best time to preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit is now. If we miss this golden opportunity, we will indeed experience a hard time preaching the gospel in the future. Today is the right time. Today we can evangelize through the internet and through our publications. We could not preach the gospel to China, during the 1980s, and 1990s. But it’s possible now. I always stand back and think how I can take full advantage of our present situation to spread the Truth. If we don’t preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit to the world now, there will come a day when we will weep bitterly regretting our laziness or lost opportunities. Evangelism will become more and more difficult as we move into these dark times, and we may have to risk our lives just to preach the gospel.
If we don’t preach the gospel now, we will have to preach it as we die in martyrdom. The Holy Spirit in us will command us to do this. Dear saints, please take note; the great tribulation is just around the corner. I believe this. Because of this situation, many people tend to go into neutral, idling away their time. In times like these, we, the stewards of the LORD, need to wake up, prepare, and distribute the daily bread. The Lord has given us this task.

We Should Become Wise Servants and the People of Faith

Abraham and Moses also walked in faith. So did Enoch and Abel. People in today’s passage pleased God with their faith, and left a legacy of faith. They all lived by faith, and we should follow the example set by our ancestors of faith. I am only talking about their faith. Without faith in God and in His righteousness, we cannot survive in this wicked world. It’s no use in just talking about the gospel of the water and the Spirit while living in God. We should be more active in asking, seeking and knocking with our heart. We need to trust God and in all His words, and live by faith. No matter what the circumstances the world is in, we should live out our faith. The time we are living in now is the right time to preach the gospel. It’s because the day of our Lord’s return is not that far away. Some of you may become impatient and irritated with the seemingly delayed return of the Lord, but we still have much work to do. Many documents still needs to be translated, and many things needs to be preached.
Today Pastor Shin called and told me that he received e-mails from several countries notifying him that people there had received the remission of sins by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. What I was told was that about five people have met the true gospel, but I am sure there are many more now. Five people a day is not a small number. Those who received salvation from their sins are all influential in their own countries. How many more people can hear the gospel of the water and the Spirit through them in the future?
There are still many counties we haven’t reached yet. We need to evangelize such countries first. In counties like the U.S. many people have heard the gospel of the water and the Spirit and received the remission of sins. The same is true for Nigeria. The number of books we send out to these countries is either the first or the second most compared with other countries. Do you know about Nigeria? Doesn’t the name of that country remind you of soccer? Do you remember that country just as another African country? Nigeria has a huge population and is considered to be a well-off country in West Africa. These days Africa is a continent where HIV AIDS has become rampant, and we should be praying for them. I hope you will live a prayerful and faithful life before God.
I believe that within the near future these signs will appear, as we the people and the workers of God continue to preach the gospel. Throughout the world natural disasters will become the norm, wars will break out, diseases will abound, and ecological damages will occur. I can see such things happening and I believe they will come without fail. When these things happen, a lot of people will then accept the gospel of the water and the Spirit to survive, just like a fish out of water. I believe many people will come to hear the gospel, and receive salvation, when the end time draws nearer.
Because I believe that the days of the world are numbered, I want to pour my heart and strength out in preaching the gospel. I recently moved to a quiet place. There is some inconvenience in doing this move, but I like the place because it is so quiet. I can take a rest, have a good sleep and it is a very good place to recuperate. After becoming stronger and feeling refreshed, I can do God’s work with much energy, but when I become exhausted, I can just return and take some rest. I don’t know much about you. This is how I do it. Anyway, I thank God for this opportunity. I hope you will do your best to carry out your God-given tasks in your positions.
Brothers and sisters, we must carry out our God-given tasks faithfully. If there is anyone who abandons the task God has given them, then he is not only choosing to die himself, but is also sending others to their deaths. Lazy and idle Christians are basically killing people. When we diligently preach and live for the gospel, many people can come alive by receiving the remission of sins. If this is so, then how can we live a sluggish life? I am not rebuking you for being idle. My point is that we are all responsible for all of these things. Many people who wanted to hear the gospel of the water and the Spirit couldn’t receive it, or the remission of sins, because we did not fulfill our duties. And those who could have received the remission of sins couldn’t do so because of our laziness. The people in the world do not know the end of the world is near, or don’t know, or believe that Jesus Christ has remitted away all of our sins. When these things happen, you and I will be held responsible.

We Who Believe in the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit Should Live for Others

From now on, we should not live for ourselves but for others. Always remember that and do your best in your allotted areas. When you look back to see from where you came from, then you can move forward. I hope you will be faithful in your priestly work. How can we be lazy when God has given us such an important task? The Lord said that He expects more from those who are given more. People all over the world are in need of our evangelists to preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit to them. They earnestly seek the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Knowing all these things, and knowing that there is no other gospel, but the gospel of the water and the Spirit, how can we stay silent for even one day? Nonetheless, we will not be allowed to walk around preaching the gospel with a microphone, for it will offend people and get us into trouble. So instead, we can preach the gospel by giving people our free sermon books. We also help people into the kingdom of God by preaching the gospel through the internet. We should take our God-given tasks seriously, for its precious, and we should keep up with our hard work in preaching the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
When I first met the Lord who came by water and the Spirit, I prayed earnestly, saying, “Lord, there is no one anywhere who preaches the gospel of the water and the Spirit. They are not true evangelists. Please help me spread this true gospel of Christ all over the world.” I prayed without any expectation. I kept praying but I didn’t realize God would give me such a significant task. We are certainly not many in number, but we join forces to preach the gospel to the people of the world. You may take pride in that fact. People hear the gospel of the water and the Spirit we are preaching and they later testify that they have received the remission of sins. This is only an approximation based on email notification we receive daily. There may be more people who come to believe, but do not report back to us.
I believe that the gospel of the water and the Spirit is the only true gospel that can save perfectly. Some might challenge this statement, saying, “How do you know that?” I can tell you this with confidence. I am not someone who is ignorant of worldly well known theologians or its theologies. I also know there are many sisters here who take part in this internet ministry. Did any one of you ever receive an email from someone claiming, “I already knew all about the gospel of the water and the Spirit?” You will find out for yourself once you search around, and including the internet, that there is no one preaching the gospel anywhere.
I am not joking. If you search around properly including the internet, you will realize that I am telling you the truth. These days, we can browse the whole world through with a click of a button checking it out. I am not bragging about this. No matter where you look, you will not find any place, any church, other than us, that preaches the true gospel of the water and the Spirit. Since they do not have the true gospel, how can we be lazy in spreading the gospel? How can we not pour our energy out in preaching the gospel of the water and the Spirit? How can we think of doing something else other than Gods work? How can we work only for the flesh? How can we leave God’s work and become involved in the work of the flesh? If there were many more people preaching the gospel of the water and the Spirit, I might take a break from time to time. I might even suggest that we should work less, and live comfortably. If the true evangelism was done to some degree, I could really take a vacation.
But what can we do when we are the only people who can preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit? Therefore, each one of you, are very precious before God. If we don’t bear this burden, nobody will. If we perish, the world perishes with us. Are you perhaps thinking, “Ah, it’s not likely to happen?” I am telling you it’s the truth, I’m not blowing my horn, but it’s the truth. This is why we should live by faith. We should also understand that the day of the Lord’s return is too close for comfort, and that the days of the world are numbered. We need to seriously think about what we should do in this last generation. We must live by faith in God’s righteousness. The same is true for a human relationship. People do things according to what they believe. Without faith, we are nothing.

The People Recorded in the Book of Hebrews All Lived by Faith

Enoch lived such a life and was taken away by God because he was a God pleaser. My only wish is to reciprocate his life, by pleasing God, before I come into His awesome presence. I know you feel the same way, isn’t this true? Then you must know what you need to have. You must have absolute faith in God’s word. By having faith like this you can discern this world. I hope you will figure out what you need to do by faith. Now is not a time for a fight over something else. Being lifted up in the world or sitting in a high position is not important. As a matter of fact, these things are all useless. I want you to embed this in your heart. What is important is not how high your positions are in society, but what ministry God has entrusted you with, and how you can fulfill it.
Everyone is equally precious. We have different roles but we are all equally important to God. It is not true that someone’s job is more important than someone else’s job. We all do precious work. If any one of us did not do our jobs properly, how could we get any evangelical work done? As much as I believe my job is significant, I believe your jobs are equally significant. I have no desire to live a well-off life in this world with a fat bank account. I just need things to do God’s work.
Anyway, people in the Bible lived their lives of faith until they went before God. Likewise, we also should live only by faith. All I need to do is to live by faith until I come into the presence of God. I desire nothing else. What can I ask for if many people receive their salvation by doing what God has called me to do? What we do is not only for us. But if it were different then anybody can do it. Don’t you agree?
We can do this work because what we are doing is very precious and worthy, even worth risking our very lives for, because helping many souls receive salvation with our little efforts is so precious. Isn’t it worth it? You are part of such an important mission. I want you to be aware of the significance of our collective work.
I am worried that if I should die without fulfilling my tasks, and difficulties or tribulations come to the world, what is going to happen then? I am afraid I won’t be able to preach the gospel, and will barely survive disasters such as droughts, wars, or diseases. I would like to preach the gospel during a peaceful time. I hope to help you preach the gospel during this peaceful time. We will come before God in His time as we preach the gospel diligently. As you can imagine, it will be extremely difficult to preach the gospel during such times. We will not simply be able to preach the gospel even when a small incident should present itself. In such times, we won’t be allowed to preach the gospel. Fortunately, the world is not yet so wicked for us to preach the gospel. As a matter of fact, the climate for preaching could not be better.
More and more people hear the gospel we are preaching. One young man asked me if the Lord is coming this year. There are many people like him. I heard that in the U.S. somewhere people made a bunker underground to store food. Those people know that the seven year tribulation is approaching. Although they do not know the gospel of the water and the Spirit, they still sense the signs. There are countless people who are preparing like this.
However, the way they are preparing is problematic. What good will it do to bury the food underground? Will not the ground be subject to disasters? It will be all over once an earthquake hits that town. It’s not important to save food under the ground. Don’t you agree? When disaster begins raining down upon the earth, humans will become helpless under the Lord’s rage. They are miserably mistaken. Brothers and sisters, let’s rather make a banner when one of us should pass away with these words. “Congratulations! Saint So-and-so had just died!” And let us sing praises and celebrate. Then broadcasting stations will then come to interview us. They will ask why we are celebrating a death. Actually, isn’t it a cheerful event to be called to the kingdom of God after carrying out hard work on earth? Such a death definitely deserves great celebration.
The death of born-again saints means resurrection and new life, so it is something to celebrate. This is why we can say, “Congratulations on your death!” What will the reporters say about us then? They may call us crazy or eccentric. You know Deacon Myuonchan Kim, who is now dead and asleep? His tombstone says, “Righteous man, Myungchan Kim went to sleep awaiting the Lord’s return.” I wrote that inscription. We chose such an unusual inscription, while people in this world write that so-and-so, descendant of such and such person sleeps here.” “Righteous man, Myungchan Kim went to sleep awaiting the Lord’s return.” Such inscriptions may be common in other countries, but I haven’t seen anything like that in our country.
I have been to many different grave yards or cemeteries, but there wasn’t a single tombstone that says ‘righteous man’. Please do the same thing for me when I should pass away. I am a righteous man and I await the second coming of the Lord. I do anticipate the Lord’s return. I can live today because I believe that day will come. My only wish is to do the work of God and live by faith until I come before God. As we continue to preach to the world what we believe, the Lord will come back some day and give us the millenial kingdom, where He will let us reign as kings for a thousand years. I believe that He will take us, the righteous, to the new heaven and new earth for us to dwell there in. I firmly believe so. I also believe that people can receive the remission of sins and the Holy Spirit all at once as soon as they hear the gospel of the water and the Spirit that we preach, and truly believe in it. And I believe they will become the children of God. Just like that, I would like to come before God while I preach the gospel, and live by faith. I am living such a life right now and I will keep living my life with such a hope. I am not certain what kinds of tasks the Lord will assign to me, but I can guess. I can also guess what kinds of tasks the Lord will give you also. I cannot express just how grateful I feel for working with saints and co-workers like you.
Beloved brothers and sisters, my only wish is for the gospel of the water and the Spirit to be spread all over the world. And I wish the Lord will return, save, revive us, and everyone who believes in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and let us reign with Him for a thousand years. I believe the Lord will make my dreams come true. I believe that after the thousand years, God will build the everlasting kingdom and let us live there with Him for ever and ever. Do you believe like this also? We will meet the Lord by faith after we lived our lives by faith.
In no time, He will return. We are not of those who draw back to perdition by committing sins. We are the people who are saved by faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. We are the people who received the future tasks from the Lord. We can walk in faith because of our faith is in God’s righteousness. Therefore, do not look upon the world. Do not put your hopes in the world. The time of Lord’s return is very close. Don’t ever do that! When you put your hopes in the world, you will fall into the trap of the world. We must have our hopes in the Lord only, and look to Him as we live. If we live by faith while doing the work of the Lord, He will come at any time and welcome us home.
Do not just wait for this day with idle hands, but do your very best until you meet the Lord. I have lived thus far by working tirelessly for God, and I believe you can do the same. Let’s keep up the good work. As we live in the righteousness of God by faith, the Lord will indeed return and we will meet Him. In the near future, disasters of all kinds will surely come upon the world. The seven year tribulation will also come. The first tribulation will be natural disasters and the second will be wars breaking out, and famine and diseases will follow, then finally Antichrist will show up. Then fireballs and hailstones will fall down from the sky, and disasters of epic destruction, such as we might have seen in movies will follow. It will really happen. We are preaching the gospel of the water and the Spirit because we believe what God said, and we believe such disasters will come about.
Because we believe in the millenial kingdom, we preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit to the people of the world. We do so because we believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. We will meet the Lord as we live by faith. Do you understand? I shared with you what I had in my mind based on today’s Scripture passage. I also touched on what you have in your mind. Thank you, Lord.
